I thought I would send a quick update about what is happening with Whistler 360 Health Collaborative for MAC.

Whistler Medical Clinic has become part of Whistler 360 Health. Work is happening on integrating the two entities with Whistler 360 Health providing management support for care providers.

We are busy working on having additional space set up for new family care providers at two locations: additional rooms at the Lorimer location (upper floor of the Whistler Health Care Centre where the Whistler Medical Clinic is) and on Main Street (site of the former Town Plaza Medical Clinic). We are about to open Main Street and have started booking new patients and adding capacity for those who do not have a family practitioner.

In anticipation of this, we have set up a patient registry where Whistlerites without a family doctor or nurse practitioner can sign up to be informed once a provider is available. We will also use this list to determine how many people are still without a provider. We did a soft launch of this and now are making it more widely known. If you have clients or patients who need a primary care provider, please direct them to https://www.whistler360health.org/how-to-get-involved.  We do not know how long it may take to attach patients to a care provider but this is the first step.

We have a nurse practitioner position available through Primary Care Network funding should you know of anyone who may be interested.

We also have a volunteer registry for those who would like to help us.

We are completing our branding package and logo and will switch to a newsletter format for future updates once that is completed.

If you have any questions or suggestion, please feel free to let me know.

Cheers,

Sue Maxwell
