Connect with the Community

Welcome to MAC’s Activities and Events. We believe that to live and age well in Whistler, seniors need opportunities to have fun, be active, engaged, and feel connected to other seniors.

We know that older residents have a wide range of needs and capabilities, so our goal is to plan recreational, cultural, educational, lifestyle and other social opportunities for all people 55+ to connect and engage with each other. These opportunities allow all MAC members to do the things they enjoy and socialize with others while doing them.

Social connections have been identified as one of the most important factors to ensure those 55+ can continue to live and age well in Whistler.

To stay up to date with all MAC programs:

There are many ways to stay connected to each other, and MAC is continually adding new programs and events to keep us all engaged. If you have a program of interest to MAC or would like to volunteer with the Activities and Events Committee, please contact us at info@whistlermac.org

MAC Talks

Join the Conversation

With MAC Talks, our hope is to connect people to have conversations and socialize. The goal of our sessions is to facilitate casual conversations with our members as well as more formal conversations on subjects of interest to our members and others.

MAC In the Community

MAC is the voice of people 55+ in Whistler. We listen to the concerns and needs of seniors, and advocate in the community on their behalf. To do this, we provide programs and work with local partners to support their programs.

MAC Making Connections

Whistler MAC’s Making Connections is a weekly program that serves people with dementia and their caregivers in the Sea to Sky Corridor. The program starts with 45 minutes of gentle fitness, followed by games and brain stimulating activities, music and socializing over a light lunch. To many, it is the high point of their week.
