AWARE continues to be Whistler’s voice for nature – pushing for greater habitat and wildlife protections, as well as increased speed and scale of climate action – through community policy processes and at partner tables. If you care about conservation and climate action in Whistler then join us! The Association of Whistler Area Residents for the Environment (AWARE)

Rotary Club of Whistler

The Whistler club meets every Tuesday except the 3rd Tuesday of the month. All are welcome. meetings are usually at the Whistler Racket Club and all meetings are on Zoom as well.

We are currently meeting from 5.45 to 6:30 for a quick meal and socialize with the formal part of the meeting starting at 6.30 pm. Please consult the Calendar in case of a change of venue.

The Whistler branch was established in 1977 by the Rotary Club of Squamish and have been involved with many local and international projects over the years.

Sea to Sky Community Services

Sea to Sky Community Services Society (SSCS) is a charitable organization, established in 1978. We help thousands of children, youth and adults, build their skills, abilities, confidence, self-worth and mental health. We help to create communities where people can support themselves and one another. Senior services are offered through Better at Home.

Sea to Sky Community Services Society (SSCS) provides over 40 social service programs, which strengthen individuals and build healthier communities throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor.

Village Host Program

Village Host is an ongoing year round program. Volunteers provide quick answers, helpful directions and impart a fun and friendly experience to people visiting our home town. If you have a passion for Whistler, a positive outlook, a sound knowledge of Whistler’s services and the willingness to learn even more, we invite to join us for a season of fun!

Part of what makes Whistler Village so appealing is its friendly Village Host volunteers.

Whistler Animals Galore

Each year, WAG cares for and re-homes countless cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens in our Whistler Animal Shelter, making a tangible difference in their lives. We invite you to join us in our mission to create a brighter future for animals in need. Whether you’re looking to adopt, are considering volunteering, or would like to support our cause, your involvement can make a world of difference. WAG has volunteer positions for shelter volunteers, foster homes and drivers.

The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation

The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation is dedicated to providing financial support to registered non-profit organizations whose activities provide benefit to residents of the Sea to Sky Corridor in the areas of health, human services, education, recreation, arts and culture and the environment with an emphasis on children, youth and family programs.

Since 1992, the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation has supported hundreds of amazing community charities through cash grants.

Through our social enterprises, volunteers and donors, we support community members where they need it most, like the Whistler Food Bank, Outreach Services, and 20+ other programs and services.

Whistler Re-Use-It Centre

When you donate to or shop at our stores YOU are directly funding community programs, like our Food Bank, our Outreach services for mental and physical health, subsidized counselling access, financial assistance programs for kids to go to art classes, attend camp, play sports and MORE! 

RE-Build-It Centre

Pre-loved items for your home and self. New items every day including furniture, appliances, tools, outdoor gear, and clothing.

Tool Library

Tool Library gives members access to a range of tools that will help with ski tuning, bike maintenance, gardening, refinishing furniture, building and DIY projects. Tools are loaned to registered members for a one-week lending period with the possibility to be renewed for an additional week.  Don’t have a workspace of your own? No problem! We have a workshop available for registered members! Give us a call or visit in-store to book a time that works for you. Annual Single Memberships – $75. Annual Shared (2 person) Memberships – $100.

Whistler Food Bank

It is for anyone and everyone trying to make ends meet. Supplemental groceries are available to ensure individuals don’t have to lower the quality or quantity of food they are eating. 

Whistler’s Food Bank provides an essential service for a range of people based in the Sea to Sky corridor.

Whistler Naturalists

Sign up for monthly bird walks, Fungus Among Us Mushroom Festival in Whistler and BioBlitz, a 24-hour race against the clock to count as many species as possible.

Welcome to the Whistler Naturalists Society, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase local knowledge of and appreciation for the natural world in the Whistler area.

Whistler Public Library

The library provides access to a collection of over 49,000 items, including a hand-picked selection of best-selling and classic fiction, current and diverse non-fiction materials, and a robust movie collection. The library also offers audiobooks, video games and a newsstand-quality selection of magazines. For the curious researcher, the library has over 25 online databases. You can also book a librarian for help with an in-depth question or to learn a new skill, borrow a laptop for use at the library, print and scan documents, access the internet, book a small meeting room and use the seed library and wonder lab. The library hosts free events and you can visit the event calendar to see what is happening.

Sea to Sky Better at Home

Sea to Sky Better at Home offers support services to help seniors 65+ with simple non-medical day-to-day tasks, making it easier for them to stay in their own homes, remain independent, socialize and stay connected to their community.

Palliative & Bereavement Support, Caregiver Support Groups, Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Sea to Sky Community Hospice.

Whistler Search & Rescue Society

The role of WSAR team members includes assisting the following agencies:

  • Police in the search and rescue of missing persons and in evidence searches
  • BC Ambulance Service in the rescue of injured persons
  • Provincial Coroner’s Service in body recovery operations
  • Municipal agencies in search, rescue, communications, and other roles during civil emergencies.

WSAR is a volunteer search and rescue team. Its members are from all walks of life and share a common interest in providing an important life-saving service to the public, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

Whistler Adaptive Sports Program

Whistler Adaptive is committed to introducing individuals with a disability to sport, recreation and therapeutic sport programming. Whistler Adaptive supports sport for life by breaking down the financial, physical and social barriers as well as creating skills that will lead to future employment within sport and beyond. All activities are run in a safe and supportive environment, allowing athletes to learn at their own pace.

We are a registered charity that provides year-around, recreational programs for people of all ages with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities or neurodiversity.

The Whistler Farmers’ Market invites the community and visitors to connect with local makers and growers and enjoy the welcoming vibe of the market.

Whistler Lakes Conservation Association

To work with and to co-operate with the RMOW in dealing with noise, pollution and safety issues on the Whistler Lakes; To collaborate with the RMOW and the Province of BC on dock management strategy; To take any appropriate action to promote and practice conservation and environmental protection on Whistler Lakes. Find out more about the WLCF’s Lake Monitoring Project.

Goal is to preserve the pristine lakes of Whistler.

There’s no limit to what you can explore when you open your palate to fresh ideas that are full of life and flavour. Join us in the mountains this fall for the ultimate celebration of bold tastes.

Cornucopia, Whistler’s Celebration of Food & Drink, is owned by a not-for-profit and run as a charity benefit for the community. It takes place every November in Whistler

Religious Organizations

Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church

Doors are usually open early before Mass starts, and coffee is also available after Sunday 9am Mass so feel free to come up to any of our volunteers and introduce yourself. We have various ministries available in the parish so please don’t hesitate to ask any of our volunteers about ways to get connected.

Whistler Community Church

Sunday services typically include singing, prayer, teaching from the Bible. Each week after the service we hang out over coffee and treats. On the last Sunday of each month we share a potluck meal after the service.

Each service lasts roughly 80 minutes. Everyone is welcome.

Pemberton Community Church

We are a diverse church with members from across the spectrum of Christian beliefs and we enjoy a miraculous depth of unity because God enables us by his Spirit to follow Jesus together.

We meet for worship, prayer and teaching every Sunday morning at 10:00, as well as offer a Sunday evening meeting at 7:30pm.
