Privacy Policy

This is the Privacy Policy of The Mature Action Community Society (“MAC”). It explains how MAC may collect, save and use your Personal Data when you register as a MAC member and/or use MAC’s Website and Services, as these terms are defined below.

 

MAC’s Collection and Retention of Personal Data

MAC may collect your Personal Data when you register as a Member or pay for and/or use the Website or Services, including your name, postal address, telephone number and email address. Such Personal Data will be retained by MAC as long as authorized by you as a Member, prospective Member or otherwise.

MAC‘s Use of Personal Data

MAC may communicate to you at your contact address information about upcoming MAC events or other information relating to MAC’s Services which it considers important for Members to receive. MAC will not share your Personal Data with third parties for their marketing purposes without your consent. MAC may be required to disclose Personal Data if necessary to comply with a legal requirement or regulations, including by court order or other legal process, or otherwise with your express or implied consent pursuant to this Privacy Policy. MAC may also use your Personal Data for its own internal purposes, including without limitation in a membership list or in any other way to carry out and administer its Services.

 

Access to and Correction or Removal of Your Personal Data

You have a right to access and correct or remove your own Personal Data by signing on to your Member account over the Website and updating your Personal Data, or by contacting MAC at the contact addresses below. You may also provide your Personal Data to MAC over the Website if you do not have a membership account and wish to become a Member.

Protection of Personal Data

MAC maintains security measures designed to provide reasonable protection for your Personal Data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. You are responsible for securing and maintaining the privacy of your password for accessing your Member registration information. You are also responsible for verifying that the Personal Data MAC maintains about you is correct and current. MAC is not responsible for protecting any Personal Data that you have authorized MAC to share with a third party.

 

Agreement to This Policy

By providing MAC with your Personal Data to become a MAC Member or by using the Website and providing MAC with your Personal Data you consent to the collection, retention and use of such Personal Data by MAC as described in this Privacy Policy. Changes to this Privacy Policy may be made by MAC by publishing such changes on the Website and/or by notifying Members directly at their email or postal addresses.

Definitions

Personal Data means personal information that can be used to identify you, in particular your name, postal address, email address, and telephone number. It also includes your birth date if voluntarily provided to MAC by you.

Services means any services, including organization of events, production of content, information or publications, whether in connection with the Website, in person or otherwise as part of the services carried out by MAC.

Website means the MAC website at www.whistlermac.org.

Member means a registered member in good standing of MAC.
