Making Connections program - Block 2 (starts March 1 for 5 sessions))

This Block 2 of the dementia-friendly program Making Connections, spearheaded by MAC, will be held on a weekly basis starting on March 1, 2023.  These sessions will be held on Wednesday mornings in Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church at
10:30 am - 1:00 pm.  The sessions will be held on Mar 1, Mar 8, Mar 15, Mar 22, Mar 29

This program is for seniors with early stage dementia and their caregivers.  It will be the same format as for the pilot program and Marie-Anne Prevost will continue to be the fitness instructor.

The sessions will start with 45 minutes of gentle fitness followed by a period of games and brain stimulating activities, and socializing over a light lunch.  Lunch will usually be trays of sandwiches, fruit, juice, tea and coffee.  A roster of volunteers will assist by participating in activities and serving lunch.

Participants will have to register and prepay for a block of sessions to guarantee our revenue stream and assist us with planning. The fee will be $5 per person per session ($25 per person for the second block).

This fee will entitle you to all components of the program, 45 minutes of gentle fitness, games and other mentally stimulating activities, and socializing over a light lunch.

We are extremely grateful to Father Andrew L'Heureux and the diocese for making this venue available and for being so supportive of this program.  We think you will really enjoy the amenities and the program at this location.
